How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? As a Production Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the production operations. The primary focus of this position is to track and analyze downtime within the shop, ensuring seamless material flow for efficient production, and limiting aging material. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to address and mitigate production interruptions. Downtime Tracking: Monitor and record all instances of downtime in the production process. Analyze the causes and durations of downtime to identify patterns and potential areas for improvement. Material Flow Management: Collaborate with the different stakeholders to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of materials throughout the production process. Implement strategies to optimize material handling and minimize delays/aging material. Production Scheduling: Work closely with production and planning teams to create and maintain schedules that align with production targets. Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address scheduling conflicts to maintain an efficient workflow. Communication and Coordination: Act as a liaison between different departments, including production, materials, and maintenance, to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency. Regularly assess and update standard operating procedures to reflect best practices. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet specified standards, preventing disruptions due to quality issues. Reporting: Generate regular reports on downtime, material flow, and production efficiency for management review. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Report any issues or concerns that arise to the Production Supervisor. ___________________ Are you a MATCH? Bachelor or associates degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field, or relevant experience in an industrial environment (i.e. production, manufacturing,…) Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with a focus on coordination and optimization. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in using SAP and Google applications The annual base pay rate range for this position in California is $28.85 - $33.65.
